NoTiesBuilder builds WordPress websites that belong to the people who pay for them. You describe what you need, make the decisions along a guided path, and get a finished site deployed to your own hosting. Then NoTiesBuilder steps out of the way.
NoTiesBuilder is launching soon. You can join the waiting list to hear when it opens.
Why it exists
Website builders made it easy to start a site and hard to own one. Most of them host the site themselves, charge every month for as long as it exists, and give you no complete way to take it elsewhere. That is a fair arrangement for a page you will throw away next year. It is a poor one for a business you intend to run for a decade.
NoTiesBuilder takes the part builders do well, a fast and guided start, and drops the part they do badly. The result is the most ordinary kind of website there is: WordPress on hosting in your name, with your domain, editable by you or by anyone you choose.
The three ties
The name is the brief. A site you own should not tie you to:
- a platform that sets your price and keeps your files;
- a professional you have to call for every change;
- an AI tool that stands between you and your own pages.
Everything in the product is measured against those three.

What it will not do
It will not host your site, so it cannot hold it hostage. It will not fill your site with generated text: you decide how much help you want with the writing on each page, and the answer can be none. And it will not lock you into a plan you can outgrow, because after launch there is no plan at all.
Who is behind it
NoTiesBuilder is a product of The Web Architecture, which makes software, themes and plugins for websites that their owners keep. The themes your site will be built on are The Web Architecture’s themes, and NoTiesBuilder is one of its products. The articles on this site are written by Dan Strand, The Web Architect.
